I’ve been getting tons of questions about oil-pulling from my clients, lately (I blame it on the GOOP effect) so I put together a short video of what it is and how I use it to whiten my teeth naturally and freshen my breath.
Oil-pulling es from the Ayurvedic tradition, and sounds a little weird at first, but I promise you’ll get used to it in a couple of days, and even enjoy doing it once you see the fast results.
Personally, it has bee a part of my daily morning routine, just like brushing my teeth, and I enjoy doing it because I know it works.
Check out the video for the full scoop:
As mentioned in the video, you can use any oil, as long as it’s not roasted. I prefer the Barlean’s brand coconut oil because it tastes good and es in a dark plastic container, which I just leave in my bathroom.
If you know someone who uses whitening strips or other products to whiten their teeth, share this video with them, for a natural, and gentler alternative that is just as effective (without getting sensitive teeth!).
Try oil pulling for a week, and then e back here and leave a ment below to let us know how it worked for you!

What an amazing trick. I love taking coconut oil as a suplement, is it okay to swallow it? Also, is it alright to brush your teeth after the 15 minutes?
HI Christine, You definitely don’t want to swallow the oil after you do the il pulling, as it contains all the bacteria you cleaned from your mouth. And yes, you can brush your teeth after you rinse really well. Let me know how you like it!
Hi , I just subscribed to your page . I am in my mid 50’s … an age that your teeth shows your age. However, I have been practicing the oil pulling for the past 10 years and it shows . I have whiter teeth, no bad breath and my hygienist tells me that cleaning my teeth is boring .
