Organic Baby Info

The 21st century environment poses numerous threats to our health, not least of which is the sheer volume of toxic chemicals that we live in, breathe and bathe in on a daily basis. Studies in recent years have shown the average newborn baby has hundreds of known toxins in their umbilical cord blood, effectively demonstrating that babies are being born ‘pre-polluted’. Add to this their immature liver and detoxification systems and increased susceptibility to these poisons, it is vital we protect them from environmental toxins as much as we can.

One of the most simple and common-sense ways to do this is by utilising organic, natural products to wash them in, dress them in and use on their skin. There are thankfully a growing number of baby care ranges available that are made with this in mind, including organic cotton baby wipes, natural soap and organic products for breastfeeding mothers too.
